Aryagandhi Jennifer, an Indonesian-born local designer, is the force behind the brand of “My Absolute Luxury Apparel” or “MALA.”
The name MALA, which also means “The Crown” or “Royalty,” pays homage to the family name of her late maternal grandfather, who once owned a traditional Torajanese Ikat (handwoven) textile business in South Sulawesi’s North Toraja, Indonesia. The world of fashion has always been in her blood.
Today, after having lived in Bali, Indonesia, and been inspired by its beauty, Aryagandhi’s custom-made designs are simple and light, yet playful and elegant. Her aim is to make every person wearing her pieces feel like royalty.
