Liza Solo was born in Tallinn, Estonia and has been working in the design field for over fifteen years. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Clothing and Textile from Tallinn University of Applied Science. Her namesake collection of the knitting pieces was exhibited in the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design. Liza’s experience in fine arts and fashion design has lead her to display strong visual and artisan skills.
Liza lives and works in North America splitting her time between Florida, USA and Quebec, Canada. As a designer, she finds value in combining Nordic-Baltic and American modernist traditions. Her recent works are focused on a studying of the modernism in Florida, the interaction between people and the coastal environment and its organic unity. Beyond these interests, Liza continues to study Physical Geography at the University of Manitoba.
